Do you know what the Choking Game is?
The CyberHood Watch partners, Dave & Bill, addressed their concerns regarding the choking game. CHWradio.com, hosted by Dave and Bill, interviewed Carlos Flores, Trauma Coordinator for Children’s Hospital Central California in Madera, County who has over twenty years experience in pediatric emergency and trauma care.
We know awareness will help prevent another senseless and needless tragedy. Seeing it again in the headlines is an indication tragedy has struck again, and it may be escalating. These are not the statistics we want to improve. Therefore, the CyberHood watch partners are addressing it again. It is our intent that our messages of awareness reaches others and affect a positive outcome in a child’s life, by making good life choices in today’s social networking, and the new Net-Generation society.
“Senseless tragedies”, how else do you describe it? Moreover, the grieving parents, siblings, and the lives they touched are reeling in shock. Can you imagine the questions asked by one’s self day after day?

I had no idea about the choking game. You would think the schools would be the first to send out such important information. So great job at getting the word out. Maybe we can press our schools now to incorporate this knowledge in their drug and bully prevention programs so parents and youths can be aware. I will start by emailing out the site to those I know both in the medical and teaching professions.
